The only Nordic writing worth reading: Hávamál.
A book everyone should read.
“The weak fade and disappear, the strong multiply and triumph […] our ancient West – tragically now in a minority status on this earth – retreats behind its dismantled fortifications while it already loses the battles on its own soil, it begins to behold, in astonishment, the dull roar of the huge tide that threatens to engulf it. One must remember the saying on ancient solar calendars: ‘It is later than you think…’ ”
“Man never has really loved humanity all of a piece–all its races, its peoples, its religions–but only those creatures he feels are his kin, a part of his clan, no matter how vast. As far as the rest are concerned, he forces himself, and lets the world force him. And then, when he does, when the damage is done, he himself falls apart. In this curious war taking shape, those who loved themselves best were the ones who would triumph. ”
“Real-world drama, served in the comfort of home by that whore called Mass Media, only stirs up the void where Western opinion has long been submerged. Someone drools at a current event, and mistakes his drivel for meaningful thought. Still, let’s not be too quick to spit our scorn its way. Empty drivel indeed, but it shows nonetheless how reading the papers or watching the news can provoke at least the appearance of thinking. Like Pavlov’s dog, who slobber revealed the mechanics of instinct. Opinion shakes up its sloth, nothing more. Does anyone really believe that the average Western man, coming home from his office or factory job, and faced with the world’s great upheavals, can eke out much more than a moment’s pause in the monumental boredom of his daily routine? ”
“In short, through its own diabolical devices, the beast had tucked cops and courts of the Western World safely away in its pocket, and was free now to indulge in what it termed “the shaping of opinion.” And so, once again, opinion was shaped to believe that racism in the cause of self-defense is the scourge of humanity. ”
“The Last Chance Armada, en route to the West, was feeding on hatred. A hatred of almost philosophical proportions, so utter, so absolute, that it had no thoughts of revenge, or blood, or death, but merely consigned its objects to the ultimate void. In this case, the whites. For the Ganges refugees, on their way to Europe, the whites had simply ceased to be. They no longer existed. Paradise had already changed hands, and hatred made faith all the stronger. ”
“Because Switzerland’s foundations, too had been sapped form within. The Beast had undermined her, but slowly and surely, and it merely took her that much longer to crumble. Then in time, chunck by chunk, she let herself go, forgot herself and began to think. Her collapse was really in the best of taste. The famous shield of perennial neutrality still made a vague impression. The beast put on gloves before yodeling for the kill. From inside and out, the pressures grew stronger. A Munich-style coup. No way to avoid it. Back to the wall. She had to give in. And today she signed.
At midnight tonight her borders will be opened. Already, for the last few days, they’ve been practically unguarded. And I’m sitting here now, slowly repeating, over and over, these melancholy words, of old prince Bibesco, trying to drum them into my head:”The fall of Constantinople is a personal misfortune that happened to all of us only last week.”
Because I allowed myself a rant earlier, I thought it is about time to adress a root cause of our societal decline: effeminacy on all levels!
The best book I ever came across (and I’ve read enough on this topic), is Jack Donovan’s “The way of men”.
But decide for yourself…
An internet critique writes as follows about this book:
“The Way of Men answers the question: ‘What is Masculinity?’
The so-called experts give the answers that suit their masters. They tell just-so stories to protect their ideology, their religion, their way of life. They look to women for a nod of approval before speaking. They give socially acceptable answers and half-truths.
If what they have to say resonates with men, it is only because they manage to hint at the real answer.
The real answer is that The Way of Men is The Way of The Gang.
Manliness — being good at being a man — isn’t about impressing women. That’s a side effect of manliness.
Manliness isn’t about being a good man. There are plenty of bad guys – real jerks –who are manlier than you are, and you know it.
Manliness is about demonstrating to other men that you have what it takes to survive tough times.
Manliness is about our primal nature. It’s about what men have always needed from each other if they wanted to win struggles against nature, and against other men.
The Way of Men describes the four tactical virtues of the survival gang.
The Way of Men explains what men want, and why they are rapidly disengaging from our child-proofed modern world.
The Way of Men examines the alternatives, and sketches a path out of our ‘bonobo masturbation society’ through a new Dark Age.”
Excerpts from the book:
“Men cannot be men—much less good or heroic men—unless their actions have meaningful consequences to people they truly care about. Strength requires an opposing force, courage requires risk, mastery requires hard work, honor requires accountability to other men. Without these things, we are little more than boys playing at being men, and there is no weekend retreat or mantra or half-assed rite of passage that can change that. A rite of passage must reflect a real change in status and responsibility for it to be anything more than theater. No reimagined manhood of convenience can hold its head high so long as the earth remains the tomb of our ancestors.”
“Sometimes men pick fights just for something to do-just to feel something like the threat of harm and the possibility of triumph.”
“People can talk tough without having to do the primitive math of violence, because they believe that law enforcement will either intervene and stop or punish an attacker.”
“When men evaluate each other as men, they still look for the same virtues that they’d need to keep the perimeter. Men respond to and admire the qualities that would make men useful and dependable in an emergency. Men have always had a role apart, and they still judge one another according to the demands of that role as a guardian in a gang struggling for survival against encroaching doom. Everything that is specifically about being a man—not merely a person—has to do with that role.”
“It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other. That’s the path we’re on now. What a withering, ignoble end…”
“When someone tells a man to be a man, they mean that there is a way to be a man. A man is not just a thing to be—it is also a way to be, a path to follow and a way to walk. Some try to make manhood mean everything. Others believe that it means nothing at all. Being good at being a man can’t mean everything, but it has always meant something.”
